Many products still have switches. They don't always do everything you want nor are they always accessible in the ways you want them to be. Wireless remote switches are extremely useful for getting energy consumption under control, but consume power of their own which must be balanced against whatever power savings they achieve. However, I inaugurate this page with a simpler task: find a power strip with a switch for the desk. Or a three-prong "Christmas Tree light" switch which effectively moves the switch of an existing power strip off the floor.
