I live in Ireland where we don't centre tap of 220V like the US does but the power consumption is the same.

I own two different watt-meters which I can take photos of if anyone is interested. Both of them measure current, voltage, power either instantaneously or over a period of time. I spent many years trying to find a watt-meter that didn't cost more than the house and eventually found them! For the inquisitive: meter #1 came from CPC <http://www.cpconline.ie> part of the FARNELL Group and meter #2 came from LIDL <http://www.lidl.com>, a European-wide retailer.

I have some interesting titbits to share later, like a house wide wake-on-lan solution I am about to implement - yes there is more than one computer in the house :-)
